75 Ohm Coax

75 Ohm Coax for Amateur Radio

SWR Meter Limitations
Cable loss attenuates the reflected wave on its way back to your radio. Lossier cable makes the SWR reading look better — but the power never reached the antenna.
Example: 70Ω feedpoint, 14.175 MHz, 50 ft of cable
RG-58 (50Ω) SWR at radio: 1.33:1 Power delivered: 89.9%
RG-6 (75Ω) SWR at radio: 1.52:1 Power delivered: 92.4%
Which cable is actually performing better?
The one with the "worse" SWR reading is delivering more power to the antenna.
